Peewee Tackle

Peewee teams will be participating in a 9 a-side Tackle season.  This change will allow for a more gradual progression to 12 a-side football at Bantam, moving up from up 6 a-side at Atom. All players will learn safe contact and fundamentals, while continuing to focus on skill development and teamwork. Skill development at this level may become more position specific. 

Gameplay: 9-a-side football on a modified field. 

Eligibility: 11-12 years old, not turning 13 in the calendar year. Open to all genders!

Spring Session: Full Tackle will be offered in May/June as an introduction to football.

Practice: Practices begin in May-June with 2 practices a week. No Football in July.  Practices will increase to 3 practices a week starting in August.  Practices are held at the Bethel Church Clubhouse and field. Located at 298 Bethel Dr, Sherwood Park, AB T8H 2C5

Games: One game per week.  Game locations are in the City of Edmonton and surrounding areas. 

Season: Season gameplay begins late August and continues to the end of October.

Equipment

Equipment Rental and Professional Equipment Cleaning - As per registration fee's

•  Helmets
•  Shoulder Pads
•  Game Pants,Pads,
•  Practice/Game Jerseys

Mandatory Equipment - NOT PROVIDED

• Football Cleats (or acceptable rubber cleat alternative)  - No metal cleats
• Quality mouth guard
• Knee Pads (Volleyball Type)
• Football/Sports Girdle (w/ Hip, Thigh pads and Tailbone pads)
