A Brief History of the Rams

  • The Sherwood Park Rams were established in 1962 by the team’s Head Coach Earl Keeley, a former CFL Quarterback with the BC Lions and Montreal Allouettes.
  • From 1970 to 1973 Bob Edwards was the Head Coach and Manager.
  • In the early 1970’s a fire destroyed the Rams practice facility and equipment.
  • In in 1974 Bob Dolman became the head coach.
  • In 1975 the Rams became the Edmonton and District Bantam Football League Champions.
  • In 1997 we entered the Skitsko dynasty winning division, city, and provincial championships.
  • In 2016 we established a Peewee program under Head Coach Carmen Koop winning a division 3 city championship.
  • In 2017 we established an Atom Program under Head Coaches Chris Stockdale and Brian Thiessen.
  • In 2018 Ken Whiting became Head Coach of the Peewee Rams.
